Name: Erica Mathews What do you do for work? I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional with Financial Counseling Associates, a small, family owned, independent, financial planning and investment management firm. I’m passionate about helping families and individuals build their wealth so they can live out the calls God has places on their hearts. I do this by looking at someone’s or a family’s complete financial picture, making a plan based on their goals, and helping implement that plans through investing and accountability. What is your favorite part of work? Working with others and relieving the stress and burdens that can surround finances and financial wellness. Favorite way to Evangelize? Through being authentic and mentioning the ways God has blessed me and my family. Favorite saint? There are so many! St. John Paul II and St. Teresa of Calcutta both have special places in my spiritual journey. “Do not be Afraid” and “Serving the Poorest of the Poor” are deeply on my heart. In the US, the poorest of the poor are the lonely, according to St. Teresa of Calcutta. I try to accompany the lonely in many ways. Professionally, I have found that many times people feel alone and isolated trying to manage their own finances because it is a lot and can be confusing. I try to walk that road with them. Other fun info: I’m a wife, mom of four, and businesswomen. I live in Colorado with my husband and four kids.
